Han Beng & Bee Choo

Lau Han Beng, Chairman

Han Beng is married to Bee Choo and they have a daughter and son - Esther and Cze Kin. Han Beng works for Shell, Bukom as an electrical engineering manager. Bee Choo is a medical dispenser in a clinic. Both husband and wife originated from the town of Kuching, East Malaysia.

Han Beng came to the Lord when he was doing his 'O' levels in Kuching. Over the years, Han Beng has served as cell leader then area overseer. Today, he serves as cell leader and elder.

To Han Beng, RiverLife is where he discovered the anointing and intimate presence of the Holy Spirit and more importantly, his first love - Jesus.

Freddy & Celina

Dr Freddy Boey

Freddy and Celina have three daughters and a son - Ruth, Faith, Grace and Jonathan. Freddy is the dean of an engineering school in Nanyang Technological University (NTU) while Celina works as a medical doctor.

Freddy has been a lay Bible teacher and preacher for the last 25 years in Singapore and around the region. He was previously Chairman of the Overseas Christian Fellowship in Melbourne. He also served for a year as a missionary among the aborigines in North Australia, and several years as honorary general secretary of Scripture Union Singapore. He is presently the chairman of Scripture Union Singapore.

Though Freddy has been teaching in RiverLife since 1992, it was when he heard God's specific call to help build RiverLife in 1999, during a spiritual retreat in Megiddo, Israel that he formally joined with his whole family, subsequently accepting the responsibility of an elder. He deeply believes that God has called RiverLife to do a work close to His heart in Singapore and the region. For the same reason, he has been ministering to churches in China, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Freddy's passion is embraced by the 2 books he has written to help raise funds for the church building fund - "These Things Must Happen" and "Dove, Fire, River, Wind"; the first relates the Bible to current global events with the belief that God has contrived these events to prepare for Christ's coming; the latter shares his personal experiences on the Person of the Holy Spirit.

Over the last 16 years, Ricky has faithfully served and grown from an usher, car park marshal and worship coordinator to a cell leader then an area overseer and now elder of the church.

Ricky continues to be passionate about the local church and deeply believes in our calling as God's primary agent to save the world.

Aaron & Lydia

Aaron Teo

Aaron and Lydia are parents of Lemuel and Amanda. Aaron has been running his own manufacturing and engineering business for the last 18 years whilst Lydia has been a homemaker.

Aaron came to the Lord in 1981 through Lydia who invited him to a gospel rally. Both moved over from their previous church and started attending RiverLife since October 2001 after Aaron received clear direction from the Lord during an altar call.

Aaron served with the English Adult congregation for about a year before he felt led to move over and serve with the Chinese congregation where he has since taken up leadership over the Worship & Music ministry together with his wife, Lydia.

Aaron has also taken up a second leadership role. Together with our Chinese Congregation Pastor, Peter Low and two others, they form the core leadership team over the Chinese congregation. Aaron and Lydia continue to count it a privilege to be actively involved in what God is doing in and through RiverLife.

Today, he is a cell leader and an elder, while Christina serves actively in SuperLife, our children's ministry, as a lead teacher.

Vincent & Jenny Lun

Rev Vincent Lun

Vincent is married to Jenny and they have a son and daughter - Wei Ming and Wei Shi. A common love in their family is for sports. Vincent himself also loves to read, travel and watch movies.

Vincent was born in Yong Peng, a small town in Johor, Malaysia but grew up in the town of Muar. After graduating from Melbourne University with a Bachelor of Commerce, Vincent started off as an auditor with one of the public accounting firms in Singapore. He then came on full-time as an administrator in Bartley Christian Church. A few years later, Pastor Joseph Tang and himself were assigned to own the vision of planting a new church in Pasir Ris.

Under Vincent's passionate leadership, RiverLife has grown from a traditional church model to that of a cell church model with an initial focus to reach people in the east to now – a new vision to see lives transformed to make an impact in our community and to be a blessing to the nations. His heart’s deepest desire is to fulfil God's purpose in this generation and to be able to stand before God one day and say like Paul: 'I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith.'

Vincent holds a Masters of Divinity from Trinity Theological College.
