1. Discipleship begins with sharing the gospel.

2. Disciples learn from each other.

• John 1:43-46 (ESV)

• To be a disciple, is to humble yourself before God, and those around you.

  A disciple learns from those around him and can be shaped by their leaders.

3. Discipleship is a personal call from Jesus.

• Matthew 7:14 (ESV)

• To move from being a convert, to being a disciple.

  Today, Jesus is giving us 3 invitations:

  1. Come and See
  To know Jesus, requires revelation. To know Jesus, we need the Holy Spirit.
  

  2. Come and Follow
  A disciple of Jesus is supposed to become a replicate of Jesus. This is why the goal of discipleship is Christlikeness.
  

  3. Come and Die
  The path of a disciple is the path of death. But we do not die for death’s sake. We die for life’s sake.
